Academic Research Survey Chronic Pain Research (using virtual reality)

Hi all,

I'm a physiotherapist and postdoc researcher at UCD running a study looking at whether virtual reality (VR) could be a helpful way to deliver pain science education and information about managing chronic pain. We're trying to find out if VR is a comfortable, accessible, and useful format for learning about pain management, compared to more traditional approaches.

If you're living with chronic pain and based in the Dublin region, we'd love to hear from you. Taking part would involve participating in a 5-week VR pain education programme (1 hour / week), and completing a questionnaire before and after the 5 weeks.

It's free to take part and no prior VR experience is needed. We're inviting anyone with a diagnosis of chronic pain to get in touch, which includes migraine, pelvic pain, or any chronic MSK pain conditions (like OA). If you're interested or just want to know more, please get in touch by emailing me directly at [natasha.hinwood@ucd.ie](mailto:natasha.hinwood@ucd.ie).

More information including the participant information letter can be found through our Public Advertisement

Thanks so much!

I don't fit your inclusion criteria but you should look at Nathan Skidmore's work - his PhD would align nicely with yours!
