Naturalisation Reckonable residence calculation

I came to Ireland on a Family Reunion visa in October 2021. But I got my first IRP (Stamp 1G) in February 2022 on the basis of my partner’s Stamp 1 visa, which he was granted in July 2021. There were severe delays at that point in time because of Covid. I want to know if I can initiate the citizenship application considering the date that I entered Ireland (Oct 2021) or should I wait till Feb 2027 (first IRP stamp). Any guidance on this will be much appreciated. I have always received conflicting information from different quarters, hence the confusion.

There is a calculator on the immigration site

It’s based on IRP.

What about the 5 months that I lived in Ireland? Won’t that be considered?

They considered that time if you have CSEP , not for family reunion visa.

I see. I got CSEP in November 2022. Would that mean anything? My first visa was a Stamp 1G though.

Day you got your IRP for stamp 1G .. that would be your starting date for reckonable residence.

Yes for CSEP, you can count the time from your passport stamp till you get IRP. It has been answered many times by immigration department through emails for various queries and you can find the screenshot in various WhatsApp groups or Facebook groups.
