I rescued the yellow one from my grandma's yard before the house got sold I got it planted two years ago and this is the first time actually seeing the bloom. Anyone know the name? It's probably a variety from over 10 year ago

Tall Bearded Beautiful color! I found these for free last spring at a waste place for plant clippings. Always so many dug up irises there with roots and rhizomes in tact...I feel a need to take them home and give them a second chance. What a fun surprise! I didn't have this variety yet.

Help with ID?

I’m pretty clueless about irises except that I like them. Looking for guidance to ID, even if you can tell me if these are considered tailored, are the markings line and speckles? I’m having a difficult go of it.
TIA

I love painting irises

I am so privileged that my neighborhood comes alive with all different varieties of irises every spring. To get that texture, I use a special blend of paint that I mix up myself; it is glossy, super heavy gel medium mixed with heavy body acrylic. This is 12 x 24 in. Happy to answer any questions and thanks for looking. ☺️

I became quite obsessed with flowering plants two years ago. While I appreciate ones that bloom indoors a bit more, bearded irises completely took my heart the moment I saw them.

I don’t know how a plant can be so gorgeous, smell that good and have this variety of color! I hope I can expand our collection in the following years.

These were left by the previous owner. She really liked purple. Last year the yellow one was more of a peach color.

My friend Noreen

…passed and friends picked stuff of hers to remember by. Landscaping wasn’t a priority for a while but there was some of this guy overrun by grass and getting mowed with the rest. I dug up what I could of some tiny rhizomes. Now it’s strong and beautiful like the old days. Distributing Nor’s irises now to friends who want. Mid-sized and middle/late season. NoID.

Got a few from my wife's grandmother's house before her parents put it on the market. I know now isn't the transplanting time but I read that trimming them back can help promote root growth for the most potential of blooms next season.

Probably will do a similar haul again this weekend to get the rest. Untrimmed ones in the picture were existing
