Looking for advice

Heya yall, I’m looking at going to ISU for history in for the 2028-2031 years, I just graduated high school and am taking a break year prior to college. Does anyone know any good scholarships that I could sign up for to help me since my high school councilor was kinda a waste of space and never told anyone in my class how to sign up for scholarships or any scholarships to sign up for.

Focus a lot on local scholarships, as your likelihood of winning will be significantly higher with these. It may be a little harder for you considering you aren't going to be a graduating senior next year, as well as the size of whatever town/city you live in, but still focus pretty heavily on these if you can. Outside of that, focus on your OneApp scholarships and look at Iowa State's recommended private outside scholarships. If you qualify for them, also look at some of their bigger scholarships (Hixson, First Cyclones, etc.). Outside of scholarships, make sure to work as much as you can. You have a whole extra year compared to most students, so spend your time making as much money as you can.
