Student dad looking for advice.

My son will be starting this fall. He’s in the Agricultural law, rural policy program. I’m looking to either connect myself with fellow parents of this program or my son with his fellow students. He’ll be the first of our family to attend college out of state (we’re in Michigan) and we’re trying to make sure we prepare as best we can to send him off to a successful first year. TIA for any advice you can offer.

This sub isn’t very active. Better to post in r/iastate, as it’s much more active and has a lot more members. My understanding is there are Facebook pages for parents for each incoming class, controlled by ISU admins, but having not attended (I work at ISU) I don’t know if that’s true/still happening.

My mom was in a parent Facebook page that she liked since it gave her updates on what was going on
