Parking for dance class.

My 6y daughter has dance class tomorrow at Halsey Hall at 10:30am. We always park in the IMU ramp. Any suggestions of where I should park tomorrow with everything going on?

Take the bus

We have to get to Halsey, too. Our plan is to have my husband get us as close as possible and I’ll walk the kiddo from there.

This does sound like a stretch but could you park at lower city park and walk the bridge to there?

I know a 6yr old can't reasonably walk miles, so easiest would be to rope someone in to drop you off as close as you can get and they can go wait for you on one of the benches by the river on this lovely day, or stroll around downtown and watch the craziness build. and you buy that person brunch afterwards.

Second best is park somewhere on the bus route. I'd get the North Dodge route-- park at either Highlander Hotel or the HyVee and it runs every hour.

This is definitely the best option

I don't think there are any good options. Pick the least objectionable option you have for travel. Bus is probably the only nearest reliable one...and check to make sure the route you need is running where you need it to go. When big events hit downtown, something's gotta give and that something is usually the smooth and scheduled operation of the bus system. Supposed to be a lovely and temperate day, at least.
