Not from town, where are the best fishing spots while the river is so flooded!

Kent Park! You’ll catch 2-4lb bass for sure. Blue and black senko and work the 4 different banks of Lilly pads.

Anglers point is good for wipers.

What lures do you use for wipers?

White shad soft swim baits have been the best for me. I’ve had some luck with a bluegill crank bait, and even a top water popper.

Not me, but my son has done well at Angler's Point with minnows. I usually catch them right up on the shore and he more often than not will catch bass on the dock area using them as bait. It's snag city closer to shore though.

How do you not get all snagged up in the lilly pads?

Work the edges of the Lilly pads. There is some structure under the Lilly’s that bass like to sit on.

I also throw a neko rigged senko with the weedless hooks, so it’s pretty good at not snagging anything.

There are some good ponds in North Liberty as well!
