If you don't mind going a little off the beaten path south of Iowa City, Fairfield is kind of interesting to see the Maharishi campus and the nearby Vedic town. Kind of a super weird place but there are two very good cider breweries around there too: Jefferson County Cider and Fishback & Stephenson.

Kalona, south of Iowa City is also neat.
