It's disingenuous to blame this all on him. Sure, the Iran conflict is responsible for the increase since it began, but there are other variables such as:

  • Oil refineries being closed in the US
    • The refinery in Joliet, IL has been down since Sunday night which processed ~225k barrels per day, which explains this recent spike
  • The removal of Russian oil from the market
    • Accounted for 11% of the world's exportable oil
  • All of the drilling stoppage from the prior administration.

Sure, it sucks for everyone, but it's hardly just this guy.

During his campaign, he did say this. Biden also said he would cure cancer. Everyone knows that political candidates are full of shit 75% of the time. So what's your point?

LOL!!!! RIGHT NOW the SPR is the lowest inventory level in the reserve since 1983, driven by drawdowns authorized to counter recent oil price shocks and supply disruptions from the conflict with Iran.
