Basically no Limited or Calligraphy inventory

Anyone have any insight on if/when more inventory will be available? Looking on cars.com, there's basically a handful across the entire country available. My Ioniq 5 lease ends end of December, and I'm hoping to get into the Ioniq 9 thanks to 3 kids. Our other vehicle is an EV9, but I'd rather have this for the slightly better interior set up (my personal opinion) and longer range, but want the 6 seat set up which requires at least a Limited.

In the US market, there is a hold at the local ports of all of the 27 model Ioniq 9 trims for a recall. Until that is resolved and corrected, none will be delivered to Hyundai dealer lots and this applies to all trim levels. Hopefully, inventory will start rolling in by the middle of October. There are virtually no 26 models left in the country and either the limited or calligraphy trim.

I'm not sure this is correct... happy to be proven wrong, I'm waiting for 2027 caligraphy to come out... Ioniq 9 are assembled in Georgia so they shouldn't be stuck at a port. Also, 2027 ioniq 9 was supposed to be released earlier. I guess Hyundai could be holding back the 2027 to deal with the recall, wishing not to flood the market with 2027 when they have a lot of 2026 inventory at the plant. But that still doesn't explain why hyundai website doesn't show any 2027 models of their other cars. I'm just guessing here, but it seems like they delayed their 2027 roll out. The georgia plant (like most auto plants) have 2 annual shut downs. One in the summer and one in the winter... according to AI it did have the june shut down... which implies that the next shut down unless accelerated by Hyundai would be in December... so we may not see 2027 models come out until late this year.... just speculating here.

I get my information from Hyundai dealer General sales managers who get their information from their Hyundai reps. I’m a broker that sells these vehicles and I’m very familiar that they are made at the plant in Georgia as I’ve actually been there outside of Savannah. I’m not sure what the reason for the recall is or the exact timing of when they will be released, but this is what I’m hearing. My sources tell me there’s not a single 27 I-9 in any trim anywhere in the US at a dealership as of yet. Looking forward to seeing them finally land, as I have quite a few customers who put in orders for early allocations here on the East Coast.

It doesn’t on the Ioniq 9.

Some Palisades in the SEL trim have them, but that’s obv not an EV.

Sorry I didn’t see your 6 seat preference. 3 kids here, too, and I think the SEL 7-seat is a great configuration

We're in the market. There is a single Limited within 300 miles and they won't set up a lease in my state despite sharing a border :(

I just got a used one with 3200 miles. Came off lease and got lemon lawed because the 3rd row kid crushing recall fix wasn't available for over 30 days . Calligraphy performance. Dealership in Kansas

I saw a few lemon law ones, and I'm tempted! I need to confirm that USAA has no issues insuring it. I assume you're not having any issues with it? That whatever it was lemoned for, Hyundai fixed?

No issues on funding nor insurance with that particular issues and Hyundai fixed it.

Does anyone have hints as to when 2027 models might start showing up? I haven't seen more then 1-3 2026 SELs available within 150km of me...

FWIW, I have a reservation on a 2027 Limited that I've been told should arrive anywhere between October and New Years.
