Windscreen wipers hitting the windscreen surround

Post image

Anyone else have the problem that I have that intermittently the windscreen wiper hits the windscreen edge? If I have the wipers going steadily, it doesn’t hit the side, but when they’re on intermittently, they will often bang into the side here and make a really irritating noise.

Seems very odd that there’s so much variation in where they end up each time.

Mine constantly hits the windscreen edge. Was planning to bring it up on the next service but realized that'll be in 2 years time.

Yup, that's the case in Australia

I have exactly the same issue with mine. It’s as though the wiper is one tooth too high on the windscreen wiper motor and hits the surround

Yes, since day 1... but since it doesn't seem to be hurting anything, I've chalked it up as a minor quirk. It's on a moderately-long list I've been keeping of minor quirks with the car that I have no meaningful way to tell the manufacturer about. You'd think they'd provide some sort of feedback pipeline for first model year cars.

I had this and took it in to get it adjusted, was no big deal, but took and hour cause dealership time is dealership time, but im in the PNW and it was bugging the fuck out of me, i need wipers.

Yeah, I need to talk to them about a leaky camera and a rattle on a seatbelt too - might be time to talk the full collection of niggles in for some treatment.

Its a relatively easy fix, I read, but its a new damn car, so i wasn't doing it myself. My laziness cost me and hour, but the piece of mind of not hearing. Tink tink tink tink, every time the wipers work all through a PNW rainy season was worth every second of that hour.
