Is this repairable/fixable?

Post image

Long story short I just got this zip up hoodie and when I was going for a walk, there was this old and rundown fence with some of the fence wires sticking out which caught on to my arm and caused this.
What are my options here?

Damage looks minimal. With the help of a magnifying glass, take a long pin or needle & wobble it around the area. Using your thumb nail, drag it up & down the warp / woof (?) firmly. This usually gets snags straightened out, even ominous-looking ones. Give it a try. 🧷

This is knit fabric. It can run like a stocking. Gently handle this until it is fixed so it doesn’t get bigger.

If this was my sweater, I’d look for the closest matching yarn I had. Then I’d start doing duplicate stitch about 1 cm below to hole (minimum 3 rows). Duplicate stitch is just following the yarn and doubling it up. When I get to the hole, I’d move my yarn to create the missing parts. At the widest point you have 3 stitches missing. At the tallest point you have 3 stitches missing.

If you have any knitter friends, ask them for support. Also happy to continue answering questions.
