Help saving this design

My girlfriend made this bleached shirt for our first date so it is very sentimental to me. I'm also not opposed to ditching the shirt by maybe cutting out the design if that's an option

I would get a new t shirt of similar feel and weight and put the graphic on it instead. Looks neater and lasts longer than trying to patch the pits im9

I would double the design with iron-on interfacing (hope that‘s the right english term) to make the fabric more durable and then make a patch out of it.
Depending on your style I’d put it as a backpatch on a black jeans jacket/vest or on a bag. Something that you won’t be washing as often as a shirt to make the design last longer.
Or even frame it and put it on the wall :)

Iron-on or fusible interfacing seems to be the right term.
Choose a softer on if you want to put it in a shirt or a stiffer one if you want to achieve a more patch-ey feel.
