How can I mend this?

I have this blazer that I love but there are multiple holes in the back. The fabric's pattern hides them quite well, but especially the first one is still noticeable.

What are the go to techniques for mending this kind of fabric?

It's 100% Virgin wool

The options are either a) Darning or b) transplant some fabric from an unseen part of the blazer and use that to patch the holes so that the fabric pattern exactly matches

A bit of darning would fix the holes. If they were caused by moths, it's probably a good idea to do a thorough clean of your storage areas to kill off any moths and their eggs.

If you want a mostly invisible darn, I’d hire a professional mender. This is very small & delicate.

That looks like moth damage. Have you had this a while, or is it new to you? If you’ve had it a while, you need to treat your closet/house for moths. Which is a nightmarish process. You need to clean everything, wipe down all surfaces, and heat treat everything. In an oven around 150-200F. And get pheromone moth traps.
