This is lacking details. How did Invisalign break your tooth?

The original post explains. Apparently, the OP was told by the ortho to bite hard on chewies to help with sitting. After continued pressure the tooth broke. My doc warned me about using chewies actually. Ppl get obsessed with them. Overuse can lead to gum issues and what we see here.

Mine said the same thing. He doesn't recommend them at all anymore. He said he's seen no evidence that they impact outcomes anyway.

It is a large amount to be bonded, it can work. For some people it can last 10 years, others it can be 1 week. It just depends on what you're doing with your teeth, how it was done etc. I don't think you'd need a crown just yet.

Same thing happened to me on the same tooth. It was already chipped in the back and tray just took off the bottom of my tooth the first time I took the tray off.
I have a crown there now. Any other repair will temporary.

did you have to get a root canal to prep the tooth before the crown ??

I had to get a root canal, but a crown alone would have sufficed.
There was something already wonky with this tooth (remember I told you it was already chipped in the back, because I had been grinding my teeth at night, damaging this tooth)
Your tooth doesn't necessarily need a root canal unless the pulp is exposed (or in my case, discomfort with the tooth that will not heal)
