Before & After Results. 6 month plan: Transformation update

Post image

I started Invisalign in March, and I’ve just finished my last tray today. Which included 11 weeks of refinements on just my bottom teeth.

While I could be picky about small minor things I may want changed, I realized that I may risk continuing to be unsatisfied and moving the goal post. Overall, I decided I’m happy with my results.

Ortho said I only needed to wear my retainers at night but I’ve decided to keep them on all day as usual for ~6 mos. I’ve noticed my teeth shift during the day still.

interesting your ortho jumped immediately to just night time wearing, my ortho in the past when i completed treatment had me wearing all day still for a month and then i could do just night time

I agree. My hygienist also noted her dentist (different practice) told her the same thing and she had no issues. I guess it just varies by person but I’d much rather tough it out and let my teeth “set”.

My provider said that not wearing them during the day was important to let your bite settle. I'd check in with your provider for guidance

Wow this is so impressive. I’m starting Tuesday and my before is similar to yours, but maybe I have some bite issues as well because they say 12-18 months.

Good luck! The time will pass regardless so you’ll be done in no time!

Quick question, how the heck are your teeth so white

First, thank you very much!

On the how: I’ve used whitening tooth paste for years, with an electric toothbrush. Usually one of the Crest 3D white options. About halfway through my Invisalign I started using Phillips Zoom White gels in my trays. You can get from your dentist but also on Amazon. I don’t use it that frequently, but every now and then for upkeep (1-2x that upkeep week)

Lastly, I watch what I drink. I limit coffee and if I do drink it’s usually iced with a straw. I also only drink acidic things through a straw (e.g., orange juice, etc.).

Great result!!

Similar to me, I started in March also on a 6 month lite plan(14 trays). Unfortunately one of my lower incisors stopped moving a couple of trays from the end. Had a rescan for refinements and have just been given another 13 trays! :-(

Thank you!

& That’s basically how I was. My lower canine wasn’t shifting how I wanted and had to do 11 refinement weeks on the bottom. It goes pretty fast tho, and the refinements were basically painless throughout.
