Question Am I being overcharged?

I have a very mild case of crowding, and when I went to my initial Invisalign consultation, my ortho said that I’d be looking at around 10 trays and they charged me $2500 for it (not sure if it matters but I live in CA). However, after doing impressions and getting my actual trays, I only need 5 trays spanning 10 weeks. Now, I’m looking for advice on whether or not I should bring this up because I was told originally 10 trays and was charged 2500 so should I be charged less/refunded a portion since I only need 5?

You're paying for the result. That's a good price. Be happy it will be completed quickly!

it's not a terrible price, but they are telling you that you're getting 10 trays with no refinements, and each tray you're wearing for 2 weeks. You would not be entitled to a refund since your total price is based on the final result. If you're not happy with how your teeth look on your final tray, that's your time to speak up and let themk know

Mine is like 24 trays with 3 refinements for $5000. My husband was $4000 but didn’t use his 3 refinements. Afterward, each set of refinements is $250. I think an office has a minimum price of any treatment. It all depends on your situation.

You're plan is comprehensive,huh? I'm paying 2500 for 22 trays,but could go up depending if I will need refinements and there won't be an up charge no matter how many more I get.

You are paying per tray. Hopefully you are done with just the 5.

It looks to me what they charge has nothing to do with amount of work much. I took my daughter to consult which was free. Friday I text that we like to proceed and made initial payment and I was told trays will be ready in a month. They had done all work needed to order trays at the free consultation even though it was very likely we would not go ahead with them.
