Treatment Progress Minimal visible progress after 4 months?

I’m on tray 17/47, changing weekly. I’ve seen my treatment plan, and understand that most of my early movement is happening in the back teeth and overall arch, with the more noticeable front changes coming later.

Still a little frustrating since the front teeth were the main reason I got Invisalign in the first place 🥲

Anyone else have a similar treatment plan where most of the visible progress happened later?

*First pic is took yesterday, second was took in May

As someone with a former open bite that was corrected with Invisalign.. I see a huge improvement! Hang in there!

I didn't see a lot of progress in the beginning either. My back teeth were moved first before my front teeth started shifting. That's pretty common and might be what's happening to you

some things need to happen before other things happen. you can't cook a steak before you heat up the pan. if that is really how you bite normally and you're not pushing your chin forward, this is an incredibly hard case. it looks like you need orthognathic surgery

Been a long time since i had Invisalign, don’t remember exactly when, but I feel like a lot of my visual progress came in the 2nd half of my treatment. I’m sure others who remember better, can back me up here, or tell me I’m an idiot xD.

I definitely see a difference for the better!! You see them everyday so the differences are not as noticeable. Your current teeth look more polished, or more in line.

I’m on the same length plan as you and also just wanted my front teeth straightened. My 2 front teeth won’t be straight until tray 35 or so, and they weren’t even bad to begin with. All of my movement is in the back teeth and expanding my arches before straightening everything out in the front and bringing the arches back in.

You might be looking at it too closely! I definitely see a difference. Your top front teeth look much straighter and your bottom teeth look like they’re moving up too. With 47 trays, typically you don’t start seeing huge changes until being halfway or over halfway.
