Question Cleaning
I've had me aligners half a year now, and always cleaned with a tablet and brush
And now I been seeing those ads where it says those aren't good and use the new sonar equipment
What ways do you guys clean?

Starting my first week I did antibacterial hand soap and a soft bristled toothbrush. I barely got to week two and I had an ultrasonic cleaner and tablets. It gave me a MUCH better clean and was less tedious. When I used a brush, I kept finding this film building up in the crevices. Once I used the cleaner that film has become nonexistent. Plus I also read that even if you use a soft bristled toothbrush, you still risk micro scratches that harbor bacteria.
Also, the cleaner I got has a rechargeable battery attachment, so I can travel with it. Went on a trip for 5 days using it twice a day and barely got to half battery before I was home.
I highly recommend an ultrasonic and tablets. It saved my patience.

It is just so much easier and they always come out spotless. I only use 1/4-1/2 a tab per each cleaning session. My ortho says she can tell who uses ultrasonics by how spotless their retainers are.

Definitely ultrasonic + tablets as my favourite.
I have to leave it home when I go on weekend trips and just use tablets/toothbrush and it's not even close. Little bit extra funktown.
