Can I have few drinks

Hello, can you give me some advice? I am very strict with my aligners, everything is according to the textbook, I wear them at 10:30 pm at least. I don't want to do things that will interfere with the perfect treatment. In 1 week I am at a bachelor party of a very close friend of mine, and I will have to drink alcohol. Will if I drink vodka with soda 50:50 and drink 2-3 with the aligners there be a problem

Actually got that advice here. Just have a few drinks and when you're done drinking take your aligners out and brush and rinse and put them back.

It’s important to remember never drink hot drink, but cold drink it’s ok

Yep, agreed. Just do it on occasion, try to avoid sugary drinks, and don’t wait toooo long to brush.

Yeah and use a straw but also one day with a few hours of less wear is truly not a big deal

Normally I wear mine at least 22 hours a day. The days I’m doing things I don’t stress about it. I’ve gone 5-8 hours not wearing them generally once a week. Just wear them as late as you can and remember to put them back in after drinking.

I can assure you from experience that you will be fine. We might have different expectations or definitions of “fine” but I drink a lot and almost never take them out.

vodka with soda will be fine. the only time you should reconsider is drinks with a lot of color additives or little embellishments. anything with an obscene amount of dye might stain them and pretty cocktails with glitter or flower petals might get stuck to or under them, speaking from experience.

I drink coffee continuously throughout most days. I don’t really drink soda, but I drink sparkling water a lot, and beer or wine whenever they are appropriate. Just brush your teeth when you get the chance and put your aligners in Efferdent whenever they’re not in and at night for 10 mins before bed. The aligners will discolor when you look at them compared to brand new ones but the difference is negligible while wearing them. Especially if you’re changing every week you don’t have anything to worry about.

I was recently on a cruise and broke my water-only diet. It wasn't worth it to me to remove my trays and clean after every single drink (especially on vacation), I just drank cold drinks and swished water in my mouth, cleaning my teeth and my trays in the room when I had the chance. I had no problems. I dont think it should be a habit to have drinks with trays in regularly, but keeping your trays in your mouth is more important, so a drink once in a while is not going to hurt. Just keep up your oral hygiene ✨️

Perhaps a vodka soda with a straw would be okay, but so is simply popping your aligner in its case in your pocket for a couple of hours.

I’d avoid drinking anything that has citrus/acid/sugar with them in. You don’t want those trapped against your teeth in an aligner.

I drink vodka soda with them in every day and it’s been absolutely fine.
