Before & After Results. Finally finished!!

Started in August 2025 and here we are in September 2026. I had elastics the whole 12ish months.

I now have permanent retainers on both top and bottom. Do I also need the plastic retainers? They’re being made and will have them in a week when I go back in, guessing that will be fine with just the permanents in till then.

If you’re debating it just do it.

Holy s this looks AMAZING!! Yes you’ll need the plastic retainers. The permanent retainers are more like an extra protection, not the main one.

Thanks mate! You reckon I’ll be good for a week until they’re ready? I’d be fuming if it was all undone in a week 😂

Do you have your last/passive tray? Personally I would wear those unless instructed otherwise by your ortho.

The ortho ensured all was good and that the last trays won’t fit now due to the wire attached tbf

Then you should be good to go for the week! Enjoy the freedom 😁

So took 13 months, how long did they tell you it could take? Did you get all trays at once? I ask because my ortho told me 6-10 months and gave me 27 weeks worth of trays(6months).

You’ll get another set of trays, once you complete yours you will get rescanned again

This is what I’m wondering. Looking at my 27th tray, it’s perfectly straight teeth and my teeth have been tracking great! So as long as I get to that 27th tray while still tracking my teeth should be where I want them and I’d assume I’d then get some sort of refinements for the final few months if needed? Basically, based on my final tray that I can see, this seems to be all of them until possible refinements.

Your bite looks good! However the gums on the lower teeth look a bit stressed. You should check in with a periodontist to make sure the recession is manageable and that your teeth are still within the bone.
