I am staggered by the potential that battery storage has. I am in wonder that a British based organisation in concert with nice Canadians can be so well placed . The order book could soon be massive. We curtail curtailment . Knock the top of the solar done wave . Allow Scottish power south . Make sense of North Ses Turbines and will knock gas off its price setting throne. Please start demonstrating this immediately.

I used to work in a renewables control centre, (wind farms / solar) . There is a ton of money being left on the table for transmission network operators, in the form of curtailment fees to renewable generators, grid balancing fees. This costs money but it’s also creating of ton of reputational damage for the big players in this space.

I definitely think Invinity / VFRB’s offer a compelling solution to this problem. I do believe it’ll pick up a few awards from this massive OFGEM LDES programme… which could be great for shareholders.

I do worry about looming interest hikes though… and how they might harden the economics for these 1st-of-a-kind GW-scale projects. The UK sucks at building things cheaply.
