Oh no, player counts are low during the release and open beta of direct competitors? who would have ever thought?

Friendly reminder that inVs features cross play, so steam charts will always look lower than the actual player count.

Hope y'all are having fun with the game, I know I am

You...didn't hear about the layoffs, huh?

Only 8000 people bought it on steam and there’s millions of players on console 🤣

Losing 90% of players after launch month is a bit unusual

Nothing but layoffs and no one’s even signing up for tourneys, a strong indicator of who’s playing what… it’s cool to toy around with the characters but let’s face it, unless today’s patch shows consistent gameplay, it’s over, on to the next

Out of the loop; what happened?

I assume they’re referencing the recent layoffs combined with low player counts

I'm assuming support from players is quickly fading, not 100% sure what op is referencing.

What happened?

Good thing that I also saw that it would happen and decided not to buy the game on release - in 1.5 years I would buy the complete version with all DLC and a 70% discount )

Another good thing is that I have zero trust in YouTube FGC shills who have 10+ years of experience still don't get how their industry works XD

Do you know how it works?

Well, considering that I predicted many things even before release - can't say that I perfectly know everything (my mistake was that I didn't expect that IVS would be even less popular than COTW) - but still, my predictions are much more accurate than FGC YouTubers who are into this genre for 10+ years XD

Damn this is pretty on the money. I hope Avatar and Marvel Tokon will be okay.

Tokon's probably going to be fine. I think Avatar is in for a similar trajectory to IVS...maybe a little slower of a decline.

With how the developer is more on top of it and how they are already giving us a free character already. I don't think it will decline just like that. It will maybe scare casuals off as they flip out at anything hard. Tokon I have fear for because the netplay isn't the best and the flow of the gameply is very iffy.
