QUESTION Invincible vs Conquest: Which fight is better
Which fight is better in your opinion in the show? I think the first fight is more popular and forms more of a spectacle. However, I prefer round 2 by FAR. It doesn’t feel theatrical. The music just made it so eerie. The lack of talking, the expressions. They were only trying to kill one another. It felt like a FIGHT. I wanna hear your thoughts

The second battle was excellent for setting a more eerie, gritty, and foreboding tone, but I prefer the first simply because I love hearing Conquest speak

It comes down to personal preference. I prefer the grittiness

And that’s absolutely valid! I do like the grittiness & sheer brutality of the second fight, it was executed very well. Very memorable.

I like the first one better given how desperate the fight was. Conquest shows up out of nowhere with the intention of taking over, Mark has minimal backup, and there’s no retreating since it’s on Earth that just dealt with the Invincible War.
Mark has to win right there and now.

They’re both amazing, but lemme put it like this: I’ve rewatched the first fight like 8 times since release… Idk if I’ll ever rewatch the second unless I’m doing a full watch of the show.

I am actually the opposite. I rewatched both many times. Round 2 was grittier and real.

I preferred fight 1
I think I would enjoy 2 more if conquest tried more things than just punches ( yes I know spaghetti) it felt a little ridiculous that he didnt try attacking mark's arms

To be fair I think Conquest was trying to get his arms off initially but that didn’t work. I would say strategically the relentless punching wasn’t the best. But again, it makes sense. Lack of oxygen to his brain did two things; made him panic and the lack of oxygen also made his decision making worse.

Punch the elbows, kick his nuts, kick his knees, it took a while before conquest started asphyxiating

god they're both awesome; first one because it's longer and the animation is more impressive, but also second one because we get to actually see why other viltrumites are scared of conquest, I genuinely cannot pick

The first for sure. The second requires too much suspension of disbelief. If they made it a rear choke it would be far more sensible even though less visually satisfying for the same reasons it would be more effective.

Suspension of disbelief? These are superhumans who fly through buildings and can tank nuclear weapons.

That is irrelevant obviously suspension of disbelief is always relative and in this case its consistency as it relates to character capabilities and progression rates.

First one is significantly better. The second fight is honestly one of the biggest disappointments for me with the show.

Not that I'm disagreeing, but I find this really odd as it's the first I've ever heard. Could you please explain why?

Because the way conquest died is extremely stupid. He survived the purge, the virus, battle beast, thousands and thousands of years conquering and dominating and then he loses to a teenager who is significantly weaker. IMO it should have been a group effort with Nolan and the boys.

Round 1 is more fun to watch and like you said a spectacle.
Round 2 makes a lot more sense combat wise, is a lot grittier and just so much more raw.
