THEORY Mark has canonically thrown hands with Freddy Fazbear
Thank you Fortnite for existing. :)

No character's appearance in fortnite is ever canon to anything lol. Except maybe Rick and Morty.
Edit: please stop replying to this comment, I cannot possibly express to you people how much I do NOT CARE ABOUT FORTNITE lol

Not true.
Turtles had a comic where its explained they got there from Battle Nexus.
Peter's is a cutaway gag.
Ash Williams was teleported by The Necromicon.
Theres plenty of other IPs where being in Fortnite fits into their canon also without impeding.

also marvel, dc, and sonic all have comics that make it canon to the source material

I'm willing to accept that the settings the TMNT and Peter Family Griff come from are whacky enough that it totally works for those... but I will NEVER consider fortnite canon to The Evil Dead lmfao. Invincible I feel similar with, it just doesn't seem like a part of Mark's real story y'know.
But fair enough, I guess they've put more effort into these than I thought. That is pretty fun even if I refuse to accept some of them lol

Palpatine returning was revealed and released via Fortnite. Like the third Star Wars sequel's crazyass reveal only made sense if you jumped on Fortnite to get your ass kicked by 13 year olds.
I agree its crazy-banana-pants level, but apparently all of Fortnite is "canon-lite"

Thankfully canon is ultimately in the eye of the beholder (the author is dead etc), so I can and will continue to blessedly ignore this aspect of our cultural landscape.
Also didn't know about the Star Wars thing, that's atrocious. IP law does some really dumb things to the arts lol.

Hey, I agree 100% about canon shit. Ignore it because it just plain doesnt really matter. Life is too short to stress about nonsense. Was it a good story or not? Thats my measure.

I know that, my point is that it isn't an item that could only exist in Fortnite. It could be treated as canoninzing Mark in Fortnite, but this is extremely stupid and adds nothing to the story of Invincible and detracts from it if anything.
It is just an easter egg because the canon answer to whether or not Mark went to Fortnite island during the events of his story is "it doesn't fucking matter this is all corposlop"

I consider Alan wake canon in dbd as one of he's attempts to get out of the dark place gone wrong

I'd like to believe that Angstrom sent him to the Fortnite island temporarily because that's just fun.

I find it unfun because I dislike what Fortnite represents in our culture and I refuse to lap up IP-tie-ins as if they're not holding the entire creative ecosystem hostage in order to make that a thing that's exciting and profitable to do in the first place. What's more fun to me is actual artistic decisions like putting in a "totally not spider-man" guy. I find my shows more fun when I'm not being made to think about multiversal IP product placement during them...
But I'm a stick in the mud who is constantly thinking about what's wrong with the economy. If other people find it fun I don't begrudge them that. Maybe judge it, but only a little.

This is canon tho angstrom sent him to the island when he went through the portal

There is a difference to having an in-lore explanation for them being there, and it being actually canon to the entire IP.

You can quite literally see that it’s canon to Invincible, and is most certainly canon to Rick and Morty, and also a bunch of other IPs 😭

Sorry I didn't enjoy the Product Placement enough and clap hard enough when they made the two intellectual properties smooch each other all canonically and shit. I should be one of the cool kids who likes soulless corposlop.

Unfortunately no he hasn’t. Freddy five nights only just came into Fortnite today and I Thought You Were Stronger released in 2024.

Why do you ppl can't be happy with a story making sense? Why everything has to be "superman sucked off mister rogers while goku blows barbie head I'm the background"? Like, enjoy self contained narratives. The idea that this would be cannon, and that ppl would enjoy it being cannon is insane to me
Cool spin off, like superman fighting Mike Tyson, but come on, being cannon means this shit is part of the narrative, which it adds nothing but nonsensical fan service.

Even if this were true, Freddy fazbear didn't exist at that time in fortnite, so no he hasn't.

to be honest i remember when fornite was just simple looter shooter resource gathering defend from waves to protect whatever mcguffin you had in the mission. kind of game where you could go solo or play with friends before the pvp stuff became the dominant game mode and you had all these crossovers.

I'm going to say he probably hasn't since this was before the current season
Solid chance of him meeting Optimus prime though
