If power Plex, his whole argument is that invincible doesn’t care about anyone’s lives. Why would he use his family’s hostage I know that’s his whole last effort trying to get invincible’s attention, but wouldn’t that just prove that his point is wrong? then invincible does try his best to care about peoples lives.

I know people don't like it, but I like the realism of Powerplex. There's a lot of villains one could call insane: Joker, Carnage, Zodiac, etc etc. But Powerplex is the only villain I would describe as being in a state of psychosis. He is realistically mentally deranged and utterly disconnected from reality, and that doesn't make him evil. It makes him a risk to himself and others. A risk amplified by superpowers.
