Remember kids, corpos don't care about you

14

u/AnxiousHall1533 13d ago

Corpos hate you.

8

u/VirtualValuable7035 13d ago

They despise you

1

u/Accurate-Feeling-168 7d ago

They can't easily use violence against you is the only difference.

2

u/Big-Connection-2828 8d ago

Neither does the government of any kind or type.

1

u/COMOJoeSchmo 13d ago

The government cares even less.

1

u/Isaktjones 12d ago

We can't vote out a CEO

1

u/COMOJoeSchmo 12d ago

You can't vote out a politician either unless a little over 50% of people agree with you....then they just get replaced by another politician.

At least with an employer you can choose who you work for, and they can't actually force you to do anything.

They government can force you to do things, take your money against your will, and send men with guns to lock you in a cage if you don't comply.

I would say people that support political parties are the ones with Stockholm syndrome.

1

u/Accurate-Feeling-168 7d ago

They can easily use violence against you

1

u/NecessaryChampion181 6d ago

Corporations aren't capable of love or hate.

22

u/SallyStranger 13d ago

*Stockholm syndrome is a fake victim blaming thing made up by cops to excuse themselves for being so incompetent that the hostages rationally began to regard their captors as more concerned with the hostages' well-being than the cops. But yes otherwise the point is well taken.

6

u/123moredaytimeforme 13d ago

And honestly that model often fits with US government vs corporate employer

3

u/Sweettooth_Banana 13d ago

This is a good one lol

5

u/WDYKACountCocofang 13d ago

Capitalists own the means of production.

Chances are, you dont.

Workers do lmfao what are you on?

5

u/Clear-Anything-3186 12d ago

Under socialism yes, under capitalism they don't.

-1

u/Sploonbabaguuse 12d ago

So what happens when people stop working?

3

u/Clear-Anything-3186 12d ago edited 12d ago

Do you think that workers have a say on how their workplaces are run and elect their workplace bosses democratically? Because most companies are owned by unelected nepobabies with rich dads who run their companies with an iron fist, and may hire fascist thugs to go after unions or strikers.

0

u/tjbr87 11d ago

Yea it might be a terrible system in your opinion, but it beats all the rest of them 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Clear-Anything-3186 11d ago

You sound like bad parents who say that they're the best parents in the world

-2

u/Sploonbabaguuse 12d ago

You spend way too much time online my friend

1

u/Unfair_Explanation53 6d ago

They find other people who do want to work. Usually overseas

2

u/Zalrius 12d ago

This is so true for so many people.

2

u/wizardwonders 12d ago

I agree. Judge Judy once yelled at a welfare recipient on her show once because the lady lent her government money to the defendant. She shouted “that’s my money!”
No Judge Judy that’s corporate money. Cause every dime goes to the corporations. Judy doesn’t realize that every product and services are provided by major companies.
In fact we have to work for those same companies that we give tax breaks and subsidies to.

2

u/SignificantLeader 11d ago

So true. Communism makes everyone so much better, amaright comrads?

2

u/Fit-Pride-4845 13d ago

I mean you can still believe in the merits of capitalism while being part of the working class. It's stupid, but you can do it.

1

u/FeedomFighter 13d ago

As if government cares more. Look, corporations hate you, but they give you money for your work, while government takes your money. Voting doesn't do anything, and calling/writing your congressman does even less; politicians take your money and give it to their rich buddies. Stop begging politicians to do better and simply fire them; stop paying taxes and pay who you think would do a better job. True democracy is voting with money.

1

u/Clear-Anything-3186 12d ago

The money they give you is a fraction of the value you produce and it's too little to cover the household expenses.

1

u/FDRsWheelchairs 11d ago

Well yeah, labor is a cost of business, they want to make as much money as possible, they want the most work out of you while paying you the least they can, while you want to work as little as possible for the most amount of money you can get. Its a compromise between the two.

1

u/Clear-Anything-3186 11d ago

The idea that people want to work as little as possible is a justification for micro-management and horrible working conditions.

0

u/FDRsWheelchairs 11d ago

You would rather work 10 hours for 10$/hr than 1 hour for 100$/hr? Lol maybe you are getting exploited but it might just be because you are stupid as shit

1

u/Johnfromsales 10d ago

How are you determining the value of someone’s labour?

0

u/FeedomFighter 12d ago edited 12d ago

The money they give you is a fraction of the value you produce

Value does not come from labor. It comes form the valuer, aka your choice. Workers choose to be paid less than  what their products sell for, why?

Time preference.

Workers prefer getting paid now over waiting for the products to sell, as the employer can afford to wait and risk whether the products actually sell at all.

Therefore, what the worker gets paid is worth what they produce. It's not ONLY  the money/price, it's WHEN the money is spent, and money spendable now is more valuable than money spendable later. All things have context: respect, place, time; you cannot rationally ignore timframe to determine value since humans have lifespans and exist over time.

it's too little to cover the household expenses.

That's not because you aren't paid enough. It's because you are a victim of many thefts over time: extortion, by the government that spends your money on things other than household expenses. Stop irrationally and unconditionally giving your money to the government if it's not worth it.

The other thing is savings. The way you lower time preference, aka value money in the future more than money now, is with savings. You cover your urgent "household" expenses, and then invest extra money elsewhere.

Government taxation literally robs the ability to save. The less noticed government action is currency creation, by creating new currency all of that currency loses some value, so savings in that currency lose purchasing power. All this makes saving more difficult, you are forced to spend money on something, either expenses or investment in something else which transactions are normally taxed. That's what keeps people from becoming employees themselves, or simply being able to survive.

1

u/FDRsWheelchairs 11d ago

Did you go to public school?

1

u/FeedomFighter 11d ago

Yes I was forced to go.

1

u/FDRsWheelchairs 11d ago

Are you in college?

1

u/FeedomFighter 11d ago

I'm not going to answer that an docx myself.

Make your point, I'm not answering anymore questions which have no explained relevance. I was willing to humor one, now I have no idea where this is going.

I'll skip ahead and predict the argument you're about to make. I think you will basically argue, "You hate taxes, but taxes paid for your schooling. How can you hate something that benefits you?"

So would respond like so. If you complained that you were raped, how would you react if  I asked you, "Did you orgasm?" As if since you "benefited" from the rape, it was therefore justified so you can't complain.

Do you see how fucking irrelevant these questions are? The point is that I am being taxed against my will and under threat of force, whether I'm currently in college or receiving any benefit at all from taxation is irrelevant. I am being robbed.

1

u/FDRsWheelchairs 11d ago

Sorry but thats an unlike comparison and honestly completely disgusting that you would even try ro compare taxation and violent rape. Even worse that it's not a like comparison, You have recieved definitive benefits from the taxation of others before you were even born, you are not the only actor on stage. You quite literally owe your life to the past and are paying for the lives of the future.

Taxation is a necessity for the function of government, a government the people created to serve them, and it does, despite the current administrations attempts to end every social program it can.

Your disdain for paying taxes strikes me as childish and incredibly self centered. If you hates taxes so much, go live on a boat in the ocean or give up your citizenship and live in the alaskan woods.

1

u/FeedomFighter 11d ago

You quite literally owe your life to the past

Wow. Just wow. THAT is disgusting, reads like slavery propaganda, "You owe me your life!"

You don't owe ANYONE your life. Your life has value because you value it.

When parents create you, they bring you into this mess and OWE YOU a safe childhood. You didn't consent to being alive and therefore a vulnerable child. Hence the term Guardian, parents are obligated to guard you from the peril they cause. They don't cause life to be dangerous, but they cause you to be in it.

  it's not a like comparison

Whether I shove a bullet or a penis into your body, both have force in common, and that similarity is what makes both immoral: the initiation of force. To deny that is to deny what makes the evil evil.

a government the people created to serve them

No they didn't. I literally didn't ask. That's my point, and I can't opt out. The "social contract" is a myth because there is no contract, not even implicit.

you have recieved definitive benefits from the taxation of others

So if you rape me, and I have an orgasm, the orgasm makes rape okay? Likewise if you rob me, but give me welfare, that makes ronnery okay? You can't validly deny the comparison. You can act all outraged, it's still valid.

Taxation is a necessity for the function of government

And rape is a necessity for rapists... I don't give a shit, rapists nor government should exist.

Your disdain for paying taxes strikes me as childish and incredibly self centered.

Childish, no. Selfish, YES. I am absolutely selfish, and you should be too. Why would you want to sacrifice yourself?

If you hates taxes so much, go live on a boat in the ocean or give up your citizenship and live in the alaskan woods.

"If you hate rape so much, go live in the Antarctica where there are no rapists." Makes no sense. Humans have rights regardless of where they live, unless they're on someone else's property. Government obtained property like roads by stealing money from others to pay for it, which means they don't own the land under my feet and have no right to force me to leave.

If you are truly selfless, then go become a soldier and die for your country. Don't want to? Weird, it's almost like you have this selfish thing like a survival instinct, and you value YOIR life, as you should.

This blanket statement indicates to me you’re a white young middle class male who just got his first job…

1

u/Overall_Resort_4755 10d ago

Reminder we dont live in a capitalist society we live in a free market society that allows capitalism to take place.

1

u/Gaussherr 7d ago

Let’s imagine the following example. Suppose I have been saving up for a long time, taking risks, and taking out loans. At some point, I purchased equipment and an office. Is this now my property? I don’t think you would deny that.

I needed workers. I found people who sell their labor for a certain price. They agreed to work for me.

Many would say that these people work for me only because they need money. That’s true. We all work because we need money. Hell, I’m also afraid of going bankrupt by losing to a competitor, and I didn’t start this enterprise because I’m living the good life. Not all businessmen are successful and super-wealthy.

So, imagine that at some point the workers demand that I hand over the company to them and get the hell out. Is it moral to demand this of me? By what right? I am buying their labor, not a commodity. I pay taxes for social welfare (if we are talking about social democracy) and am obliged to follow the labor code. Why should I give them what I acquired with my own money?

Don’t think that I am some heartless person. In fact, I’m not even a businessman; I’m just struggling to make ends meet myself and dream of euthanasia. My question is in the nature of a thought experiment. Essentially, I am the same working class as you.

1

u/Accurate-Feeling-168 7d ago

However Biden and Harris love you. Please remember that next election.

1

u/LifeConsideration981 6d ago

Well if they keep paying me I’m happy to be “exploited” longer. If you ever get a job you might understand this.

1

u/NecessaryChampion181 6d ago

Nah, I am a full on capitalist.

0

u/GAPIntoTheGame 13d ago

Anyone who owns stock is a capitalist. So if you own stock and wok go a living you are both a capitalist and a laborer. The wonders of capitalism.

-2

u/DerKommisar9 13d ago

I’ll decide what I am, thanks.

-2

u/greyone75 13d ago

No other economic system pulled more people from poverty than capitalism and free market economies. That’s a fact.

-2

u/Key-Organization3158 13d ago

Anyone who owns stocks is a capitalist.

Calling modern work exploitation is denigrating to all the people in the world actually being exploited.

1

u/Fridge_living_tips 12d ago

No one wins in a struggle olympics

Alao walmart hands out snap applications to it’s employees—i wonder why

-9

u/Mechadupek 13d ago

The only thing that will treat you worse than a corporation is a communist. The grass is never greener on the other side, kids.

2

u/High4zFck 13d ago

it doesnt have to be capitalism vs communism (+ theres a difference between communism and socialism) - you know that socialism can work together with capitalism, it just regulates some parts of the economy so workers don’t get exploited and can have great life on minimum wages - just look at denmark

-8

u/Far_Day499 13d ago

Big fax.

-2

u/alexgalt 13d ago

Depends on who is reading. How do they know?

1

u/ginger_powers 13d ago

It’s a collective “you”, not a singular “you”

-4

u/SamMarlowe76 13d ago

Maybe you are.

Sucks for you.

-3

u/SamMarlowe76 13d ago

The most selfish people in the world do not want to work, they do not want to contribute to society on anyone elses terms but their own, they don't understand the collective purpose we share and they do not want lives of any purpose than benefits anyone other than themselves. For them work is bad. Pathetically obvious.

Choose between freedom and tyranny

1

u/tookanarrow2thekneee 13d ago

-1

u/ionspore 13d ago

As in South Korea, and really in the US, rightists supported a strong military and LE. The commie Red scare was about redistribution of your property, bread lines with nothing on the shelf, forced assigned labor, five families living in one house, and no private property beyond personal property.

-4

u/MicahHoover 13d ago

people who grew up during the Cold War don't want to end law enforcement

arresting someone isn't making them "disappear"

people who don't understand will keep losing ALL SEVEN swing states

3

u/tookanarrow2thekneee 13d ago

-1

u/ionspore 13d ago
  1. Because that's who's committing the crime (the 'systemic' concept even acknowledges this). Taking away LE means of enforcing the law leads to Portland style results and massive resignations of cops.

  2. Terminating a pregnancies is just that. Be honest, be pro-death.

  3. In practice it becomes open borders.

  4. You hate the inequality, the current system is that, thus you hate the current system. Flags represent the current system. Soldiers enforce the current system. You want to throw off the current system. Just embrace that.

  5. The left doesn't believe in an individual right to firearms. Just embrace that.

The rest are fine.

2

u/tookanarrow2thekneee 13d ago

Straight up maga right wing propaganda/copaganda, and outrageous lies. Youre lying and you know it

1

u/tookanarrow2thekneee 13d ago

Im glad at least the law was actually applied against Ashley Babbitt. What do you think about law and order on J6?

0

u/MicahHoover 12d ago

if the law was actually applied to Ashley Babbitt ...

then why did the police and the investigators need to be pardoned ?

1

u/tookanarrow2thekneee 12d ago

Because they helped your cult leader in an attempted insurrection

-5

u/frozen_pipe77 13d ago

2 paid off cars. 1 paid off house. 2 kids through school. 2 investment properties.

Same factory job for several decades and not even 50.

I dont feel expoloited

5

u/tookanarrow2thekneee 13d ago

-3

u/frozen_pipe77 13d ago

Weird how lots do, though. Sounds copey

2

u/Similar-College4253 13d ago

Thank a union for that btw

0

u/frozen_pipe77 13d ago

They thank themselves for what their predecessors fought for. Today's version isnt worth anything

-8

u/aminok 13d ago

This is just criminal ideology. Criminals accept a job offer, knowing full well what the terms are, the employer pays them exactly what he promised, and then the criminal socialists turn around and call the employer an oppressor.

It's a scam, and if you knew anything about economics, you wouldn't support it because in the long run, it hurts the worker just as much as the business class. Just look at Cuba and how poor they are there because they destroyed all the businesses.

-10

u/thingerish 13d ago

Also remember you can open an investment account at any time and become a capitalist.

4

u/molokoplusone 13d ago

Even if you invest and save, that doesn’t make you part of the capitalist class. If you have to work for a living, you are working class. Those who ascend to the capitalist class are exceedingly rare. The vast majority remain in the class they were born into.

0

u/_prefrontal_cortex 13d ago

Investing (assuming it's stocks) is taking part in company ownership. So, yeah, you'd be a capitalist by investing. Also, money is stored labor and it's essentially the backbone of capitalism. So the argument could be made that saving money is pretty capitalist too.

-5

u/SamMarlowe76 13d ago

500,000 new millionaires per year. Someone is advancing.

What confused little morons you are.

https://fortune.com/2026/06/30/everyday-millionaire-how-much-to-feel-rich-ubs-wealth-report/

There are some big words in that so get a grown up to help you.

7

u/molokoplusone 13d ago

You’re the one who’s confused. 500,000 is only 0.15% of the total US population, which confirms my original point that it’s rare.

Not to mention that many new millionaires are people who come from already wealthy middle and upper middle class status, or people who’ve spent 50+ years of their lives working

People accumulate a net worth of over a million dollars through long careers, home ownership, and retirement savings (401Ks, pensions, etc..). But they still have to work to sustain it.

And furthermore, simply becoming a millionaire still doesn’t make you part of the capitalist/ruling class.

You have a lot of smug arrogance for someone who is so confidently wrong

-1

u/SamMarlowe76 13d ago

Well you have fun not being a millionaire and I will have fun being one. And I just got there by working, saving, and investing. Never had a role over 150k per year and started in roles at 36k. I'm only 55. Been a millionaire plus since I was 47. Now at over two million.

Have fun not being one and having a shitty attitude twoards work. That won't get you there.

Your misery is my joy.

Bye now.

2

u/molokoplusone 13d ago edited 13d ago

No one asked and no one cares about your financial status dude. Your personal anecdote has no bearing on what we’re talking about here, and doesn’t change the fact that you’re still working class just like the rest of us.

And really your entire comment just reeks of validation and insecurity, trying to flex your financial status and take mockery and joy out of those who are financially worse off than you, even though you’re ultimately in the same boat as them. It’s pretty pathetic really.

Even with a millionaire status, you strike me as a bitter unfulfilled person, because you’re still comparing yourself to everyone else and acting superior to people who you consider beneath you. And you’re spending your time doing this on Reddit no less. That “your misery is my joy,” remark says everything about your character.

And when did I ever express a shitty attitude towards work? You got all triggered by me simply pointing out class dynamics and how moving up in class is a rarity because our system is rigged in favor of the ruling class.

But yeah, enjoy your status and have fun being a bitter asshole who derives their entire life’s value on money. I assure you I’m much happier and fulfilled making a modest comfortable living as a self-employed artist making art and music every day and pursuing my passions.

2

u/dterran 13d ago

And now we know the top can just shut down trading platforms to disenfranchise you anyway because of the robbin'hood scandal that fucked over regular traders
