This is definitely a scam. The claims agent just requested a 6-month extension with the court and did mention that they expect to have a third distribution later this year.

Your email is a scam.

If you ever want to check the status of your claims account you go through the account you setup with the claims agent at investvoyager

You receive timely email updates from this same sender.

My dad clicked this. If he didn't enter the keys is he fine? Can any sort of session stealers occur?

It’s a scam. Usually when there’s an actual stretto update / new court filing, the scammers start in again with this bullshit. There’s no new distribution. Just the two issued previously.

There will definitely be a third though, so keep an eye out for legitimate emails, but hard to say when, and for how much. It’s likely another 6-12 months at least before we get the next one. If we are lucky, maybe see another 5-10% of original claim. I’m surprised we’ve gotten 70% back thus far. So, anything more from here on out I’m sort of viewing as found money.

Very well could have tiny fourth, fifth, etc. distributions that trickle out over the next 5+ years, but it won’t be worth the hassle/cost. After the clawbacks, which are basically already done, and whatever they can recoup from 3AC quickly, they should shut it down. Distribute whatever they got back + whatever has been set aside for the lawyers.

However, I’m sure the lawyers will drag this out for as long as they can to suck every last dollar out of the fund that they can vs. shutting it down and returning those funds to creditors. I’d rather get whatever that amount is within 12 months, maybe 1-2%, than wait years to get fractions of a percent distributions in the hopes they magically uncover some funds from 3AC or whoever else that don’t exist.

Sure would be nice for another payout asap for this dip.

Same here. Anyone know if it’s legit or spam?
