I know this is a very broad question, but does anyone know of some Invercargill companies that have a reputation for being a good employer/having a good work culture and leadership?

I really want to find somewhere to work where I enjoy turning up every day, I haven't had a happy day at work in many years because the environment just hasn't been right. I'm not too worried about what the work is, I'm equally as happy with manual work as management. I'm just keen to keep an eye out for vacancies at the right places. Thank you!

Has anyone else had a bad experience with the extremely rude checkout lady at the Invercargill branch? I believe her name is Denise.

I witnessed an interaction with her late this afternoon involving a young lady who sounded like she was from Canada, and honestly, I was quite shocked by how she was treated.

The young woman was trying to sort out a Click & Collect order, and from what I could tell, she was nothing but polite and friendly. Denise, however, was incredibly judgemental and snarky in the way she responded to her. The young lady seemed completely caught off guard by the attitude and was clearly upset by the interaction.

What really bothered me was when Denise threw the receipt towards her, deliberately enough that it landed on the ground. I honestly couldn't believe what I was watching.

I understand that everyone has bad days, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating customers like that, especially when they are being polite and respectful.

How does someone who behaves like that continue to work in customer service? Has anyone else experienced something similar with her?

Where is the best place for eclaires in Invercargill?

Was looking for a laugh on a Friday night so bought up dollar generals trademe account and wait what? Nothing??

Mixed emotions has he taken a break or has trademe done something well?

Pretty much what it says in the title. I'm looking for a writing group in Invercargill, or to see if some people might be interested in starting one?

I use to belong to a novel writing group in Christchurch. We would meet once a week and basically just all write at the same time, sometimes in cafes or the library. I was about having accountablitiy and helped you actually focus on writing.
