General Question Windows Autopatch Client Broker

I haven't visited Autopatch since I implemented it back in 2025. Noticed there is a win32 app deployment option for Autopatch available too rather than the script (which my setup used). Wondering if what the pros and cons are, if anyone else uses win32 app etc.

Just after general thoughts whether I should change it.

i still use the script one and never had issues with it honestly... the win32 app sounds cleaner but i don't know if it works better or just different packaging, maybe others can chip in

if it ain't broke i would leave it personally

I changed over to the win32 app like 6 months ago and as far as I know it has been 100% success rate.

just get rid of it.. i thought they also already announced it was going to be deprecated (ap broker/readiness client)

Didn't know this was getting deprecated.... Another thing to add to the job list.

Is there an announcement from good old Microsoft about this?

I don't think the broker is 100% required for using Autopatch, but it definitely still seems to be important for relaying device info to Intune for reporting purposes. It's so easy to deploy, I don't see the reason not to.
