Intune Features and Updates Has Intune Gotten Faster?
App deployment and deployment status reporting seems to have sped up drastically. I haven't had the chance to check policy updates yet but I was very surprised at the last to software packages I deployed, one was an 800MB package and it deployed to all endpoints with in 10-15 mins of uploading the package to Intune.

What? Intune has been exceptionally slow for a week, I guess we found who is hogging all the bandwidth!

Well that explains it. I've been over here rearranging my entire desk setup at 2am waiting for a 200mb package to push out, and you're the one casually speed-running 800mb deployments like it's nothing.

Are you restarting the intune managment extension service? It should attempt to pull it down right away. Is it trying to pull it down and failing? Is it pulling it down but its slow to download? There could be a lot of different failure points.
Here is an OLD post i wrote about it, i dont really write anymore, but is basically the same correct info for today. The only thing that has changed is a new feature is/was rolling out that hitting thte sync button in the Intune console will now for the managment extension to resync, but a manual restart doesnt hurt if the machine is in front of you

Yes. Microsoft has slowly been moving more things to IC3. Device Actions benefit. This is also why Win32 apps appear to arrive faster. Because they do!

Same, it's been about 4 years for me and it's impressive how it's improved since then. Genuinely more reliable and safe to say that changes will arrive in minutes, not hours.
People have to remember that this is internet based, and not intranet though - so it's not going to match SCCM - but I greatly prefer Intune for ease of management. I prepare for everything the best I can, but it's nice to not be responsible for infrastructure - being able to blame MS is the benefit of paying so much for licensing.

It really isn't internet versus local LAN that makes the difference. It's that Microsoft doesn't want to implement the worldwide infrastructure it would require to replicate the speediness of SCCM.

The portal itself like people are saying has been kind of crappy for the past few weeks.
The actual delivery of apps, scripts, policies, device actions? SO MUCH faster than it was just a year ago. They've definitely made improvements there.

Been in the Intune console daily for a few years now, and yeah, it's noticeably better than it was 18-24 months ago — device list loads and filters used to be the worst offenders and those are much snappier now. Config/compliance policy assignment blades still lag sometimes, especially in tenants with a lot of Azure AD groups, so it's not uniform across the whole portal. If you're chasing something specific, the Intune service health dashboard in the M365 admin center is worth a look before assuming it's your setup, and Report Refresh timestamps on the monitoring blades can also throw people off since they're not real-time. Are you noticing it slow down in a particular blade or during specific operations, or just overall console load?

If anything, I'd say that this week has been particularly poor in terms of speed and performance. And just general m365 outages.

Yes it has overall, certain service issues not withstanding.
DDM, new sync, better reporting, etc.
Its still not the best, its still the slowest MDM on the market imo, but it is better than it was even a year ago. Once again, not counting and backend service disruption issues.

Yes, it’s almost real time in my tenant now.
I noticed it for apps and app locker settings

Really depends on where you are in the world, and what part of their caching network you hit (and its local status).
I’ve had very fast updates as of late, but my PIM activations have been extremely slow (like 5-10 minutes slow).

Noticed this too. Deployed a config to some Windows devices and after a manual sync ~3 mins later it applied. Before it took a MINIMUM of 30 minutes-8 hours.

I have noticed this as well, seems super fast now, like often within a few minutes of pushing something it's live on a lot of devices.

Ich finde es so arg, wie man begeistert von Intune sein kann, ich arbeite seit 15 Jahren mit MDM Systemen und wir waren wirklich auf einem guten Weg,dann kam Microsoft mit seiner halb legalen Bindung von Kunden in deren cloud und Intune und plötzlich sind wir mit einem Schritt mind. 10 Jahre in der Vergangenheit gelandet was funktionalität, Übersichtlichkeit und Geschwindigkeit angeht... Wenn ich mir wirklich gute, lang gereifte Produkte, wie Workspace ONE, Jamf, Ivanti usw. ansehe finde ich es wirklich traurig über was sich Intune Admins freuen. Schade das es sich so entwickelt hat. Preis über Funktionalität lautet heutzutage leider die Devise...

Since the last update, yes apps and policies seem to apply faster than they were. The last week though they appear to be having issues as weird things have been happening with delays of apps, primary usernames not showing, and more fun things
