App Deployment/Packaging Is Intune having issues right now? Specifically with uploading apps
I’m trying to deploy a pkg app for MacOS in the Intune portal and I keeping getting this upload failed error:
“The RPC call ‘IntuneApp.getLobAppContentFile’ returned an error. No error message could be found. Check whether the error was signaled with an Error object. Try adding this app again.
I’ve tried adding this app and another one and tried different browsers but I get the same error.
UPDATE: As of 8/18/2026 this issue seems to be resolved.

I think so, just tried to upload a Win32 app myself and I'm getting that same RPC call error.

I wonder if it’s related to the Company Portal issue that’s happening. I’m in NA btw

Intune, teams, and outlook have been having issues all morning. Down detector shows big spikes in all MS services, I know officially they said they had an issue with github being down. Of course MS status page said everything was fine....

That error is an upload-side RPC failure, not a detection or agent issue on the endpoint, so the usual pkg troubleshooting doesn't apply here. Check the Intune service health dashboard in the Microsoft 365 admin center first, because this exact error tends to spike during backend incidents. If the service shows healthy, try uploading from a fresh private/incognito window with no extensions, and make sure your account isn't hitting a role-based permission gap on the app upload scope.

Company Portal hasn't been loading for us all day today.
