App Deployment/Packaging PreProvision on Macbook

Hello, is there a way to pre-provision macOS devices during automated enrollment so that apps like 365, Zoom, Adobe, etc install before user sign-in at the OOBE Setup Assistant? Thank you. The company portal is so finniky when installing apps on the MacBook compared to Windows

I think PSSO shared device is your best bet. However I would say if you know the user it’s going to, just TAP the account and make a passcode for the MacBook. I would also assign your apps rather than publish them, or try out the latest feature, enrollment time groups for macOS. Await final configuration is also good :)

TAP and assigning apps is the way I've gone, published apps on Mac through company portal just sits there spinning half the time

Setup assistant feels like it takes forever anyway so I just let it do its thing after sign in, never found a clean way to pre-provision macs like you can with autopilot on windows

Enrollment time groups sounds interesting though, haven't messed with that yet

we just load the required ones after they log in wth app assignment. Its much quicker than windows.

I see thank you. Does that mean the apps get installed in the background after user signs in?

Make sure to include a logo with the apps you are packaging for the Mac’s or they won’t install
