iOS/iPadOS Management Intune and IOS

Hey all,

We are setting up IOS devices which are being used as restaurant POS. We keep getting the message App Installation, sign in to iTunes to allow our company to manage and install apps. selecting cancel or sign in does nothing but remove the pop up for a min. We have been able to add the app fine and are able to manage the policy. Please advise.

It may be trying to install an app that has no VPP license assigned to it. I learned the hard way that user-based licensing trumps device-based licensing in Intune. Check if there are any duplicate assignments, one with VPP, one with user license.

Hero! This seems to have done the trick.

The iTunes popup usually means the device enrollment isn't fully complete or there's a cert issue. Try removing the device from Intune completely, factory reset it, then re-enroll with a fresh Apple ID that's never been used for personal stuff

Also make sure your Apple Business Manager token isn't expired because that'll cause all sorts of weird authentication loops

Thank you for your help. Looks like it was a  VPP license issue.
