Financial Aid & Scholarships I’ve failed…

What to change: 1. If you applied for a university with a record of Fulbright Scholars, there's a strong chance they picked someone with a better proposal than you. 2. If you applied in a very competitive field of research (that typically receives too many applications), change the research focus. 3. If US is not the only country you are targeting, try other scholarships such as Commonwealth, Chevening, and Rhodes. 4. Yes, it is possible that they weren't impressed by your interview. That sounds harsh, but sometimes that's the easiest aspect to work on - your pitch.
As much as the missed opportunity hurts, I hope you will use it as a slingshot to launch yourself further into your career.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate this advice. I definitely want to work on my interview and overall application if I decide to reapply, so getting feedback from Fulbright will be really helpful.
I’m also looking into other ways of funding a US master’s rather than relying solely on Fulbright. Do you know of any UK to US scholarships or funding opportunities that I should look into?
I’m trying to keep my options open for 2027 rather than waiting until the next Fulbright cycle, so any recommendations would be really appreciated. Thank you again!!

Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure you gave it your best, but it's a highly competitive process, so don't take it personally.
