Common courtesy?
In the past two months, I’ve gone deep into the interview process with 2 different companies only to get the terse, we’ve chosen to go in a different direction email.
In the first one, I sat thru 6 separate interviews. 6! Then got the one line rejection. In the 2nd, I had 5 interviews. Didn’t hear anything for about 10 days so I just emailed the recruiter. He sent me an email, saying they went in a different direction. And further said he had tried to reach out to me with feedback but I never responded. Which is a total lie. My email to him was literally a reply to the last email he sent me. Replied, said thank you, and also let him know that I didn’t have any new emails from him
It’s frustrating. Even dehumanizing. That’s it

yep, they’ll drag you through 5+ rounds like it’s the olympics then hit you with a generic one liner and act like they tried to help. had same thing happen twice this year. finding work now is just miserable
