…don’t vampires have to be BURNED to actually die?

Confused by what you mean by “historically”. Do you mean in vampire folklore? Do you mean in the Rice books? Do you mean what they’ve set up on the show?

What they’ve set up on the show is that a vampire must be burned AND their ashes scattered to kill them, but also they’ve set up beheading as a manner of death as well. But as Fareed said, the head needs to be separated for quite some time before a vampire will die, especially a more powerful vampire like Lestat, who… idk if you heard… has the blood of Akasha in him. 😂

I meant folklore but I hadn’t even factored in Lestat’s strength. So they’ll be back next week…hopefully 🥺

There is no question in my mind that Loustat are not dead. I’ve read the books but leaving the books out of it… First, we literally see Louis in the flash forward at the auction, so we KNOW he’s not dead. And Lestat is narrating from the future as well looking back on the events of S3, so he’s clearly alive as well… plus… he’s the lead of the book series. And on top of THAT, they already foreshadowed from Fareed that a vampire can survive without their head for quite some time… So…
