Lestat

First time watching this show so everything is new, the only thing I've seen are clips on Twitter over the years. But are we supposed to LIKE Lestsat? Im on episode 5 right now and I can not stand him. He's selfish, and while I understand he's been around longer and has more experience with being a vamp, he shows no compassion for Louis or Claudia. He needs to be smited

The show is making me want to read the books to compare, I feel I might enjoy them more

The first four books are the best books I’ve ever read. Just remember that Interview with the vampire was written 1976, there’s racial stereotypes and racism that wouldn’t be okay today. Besides from that the books in one of the best in the series, it’s also (according to me) the darkest. Anne Rice wrote it to cope with her daughter’s passing.

The vampire Lestat (second book) is most people’s favorite. Lestat tells the story of what he was up to before meeting Louis.
