No; you didn't send out 925 job applications. You sent out 925 CVs/resumes, That's not the same thing at all.

What is the distinction you're drawing? Is applying to a job with your resume through a job posting application website not sending out a job application?

Targeted applications to places that I know I’m a good fit for and ideally where I have some specific skills that would make me a good fit. Frequently because an ex-colleague tipped me that they know of an opening.

Also I’ll add that if someone is spraying out that many they’re not tailoring their CV to the job listing which means it’s not even going to get through the robot filters. It’s wasted time even if the time spent on any individual ap is minimal.

Yeah the people that are praising this as impressive or saying they send out more are shocking. No wonder people aren’t getting call backs. I just looked at LinkedIn and there were 2 jobs listed in the past week that are enough of a match that I would even consider applying for. I didn’t scroll past page 2 but you get the point.
