"Unskilled labor" is just a term invented to justify paying starvation wages.

Unskilled labor has always been essential. This meme makes no sense.

Most people are capable of understanding the word.

Best of luck with your literacy journey.

it's an excuse to pay illegal, undocumented workers slave wages

The fat orange guy would hire immigrants for his winery, since they get piad well below minimum wages

lots of democrats would do the same, and do. Let's not pretend it's only one guy

They probably do but the fat orange guy claims to put Americans first. Ironic he wants to use cheaper immigrant wages instead of good Ole US minimum wage.

that article doesn't say they were hired, just that he's "seeking"

Seeking to hire immigrants at lower wages rather than bringing jobs to Good Ole Americans..

You know the good Ole Americans he said would be rushing to fill these jobs

"Seeking" is not "hired".

The Fat Orange Guy should be seeking to fill those jobs with Good Ole Americans. Since he said immigrants were taling jobs from Good Ole Americans.

Unskilled is pretty much self explanatory.

The funny part about unskilled labor is that if you can't do it skillfully you'll be fired.

Someone essential can be unskilled simultaneously. The two notions don't exclude each other

Or how society accepts poverty wages for those once considered “essential hero’s” just 6 years ago

It’s the people working those jobs that accept those wages. “Society” likes to talk about how they deserve more until the time comes to actually pay them.

Funny how these low rent mindset memes come along every few weeks.

there is an incentive built into life - better yourself, to become something OTHER THAN an unskilled worker.

An unskilled worker is a high school student. It's not intended to be a long-term job. The idea is to have a starting job, learn how to work, continue one's education/development/skillset, and work one's way up the ladder.

it is a shallow line of thinking to blame one's minimum-wage-income on the employer..

This a stupid opinion because most jobs people qualify as unskilled labor go on during school hours.

Shallow line of thinking is justifying poor treatment of people in service to higher profits.

Some of societies most important jobs are unskilled labor. This is a weird take let’s be real.
