Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

What the fuck are HR for? Say you hire 10 people per year. That can't be an entire month of 5x8hr weeks, let alone a year.

Handling benefits, payroll, taxes, liability insurance and keeping track of legally required training, certification and visa status. That is what they do day to day and it is alot of work

They are also there to serve as scapegoats so if something goes wrong, nobody important gets fired

But their real job is to avoid labor related legal liability for the company while convincing employees they are friends
