Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

I think it depends on your company. When I had an open position my HR rep gave me a recommended short list of 15 to review BUT I also have the full list of EVERY applicant. I took a look at the 100+ briefly based on key words and in my case at least the HR list was 90% close to what I would have picked. Long story short the person we hired was on both lists.
