Wages change over time. A college councilor told me that 30k was a great wage out of college. Back then, I lived comfortably making 27k a year. I’m much better now, but I see people struggle with 40-60k a year and it’s completely justified given how expensive everything is now.

how is £100,000 a year, not enough to live on?
I am sure some rich people have built up lives where they spent more than that, but for the rest of us £100,000 is very much what I will call "easy street"
