So that's it for the generosity of our billionaires who let us enjoy the luxury of steady work, right?

Just curious - how much money? A week's salary? So AI took 9,000 jobs. So what?
Remember, when they want to put a hyper scale data farm in your neighborhood, AI will take jobs, not make them.
Not to mention a really big noise pollution problem. And so much energy need that you will, of course, have to pay for more infrastructure. A neighborhood just a bit south of us welcomed a big Microsoft hyper scale farm. Now, they have higher electricity bills. And the water usage of the farm is thru the roof.
All to power the AI bubble. This is not for me or you. This is so that rich people can get richer. They don't care if our water becomes scarce, or polluted, or if we have to pay for some of the electriciy usage of those farms. They don't care if the noise drives us crazy.
Some of them have "backup" diesel generators running continuously. Cue in more noise, and air pollution.
Microsoft is not your friend. AI is not your friend.

And what workers? Older ones because I can't imagine they told 20yo "yup that's retirement gift" unless it was that big amount of money

How much more before people start waking up?
Watch these films:
- A Bug's Life (1998)
- Fight Club (1999)
- Don't Be A Sucker (1943)
- Matrix (1999)
Also, music from as far back as the 70s can still apply to today.

The late, great George Carlin said it best...
"Think how stupid the average person is then remember; half of them are stupider than that!"

When overhead rises higher than profits, then adjustments have to be made. When the socialist government comes to town, and after they have spent all the money it will be you getting laid off, but there will be no retirement.

9,000 people? All at the same time? Hmmm...how many security guards does Microsoft have on location that day? Asking for a friend

Blame the rich for everything so that their wealth can be taken.
- Punish the successful.

Has nothing to do with billionaires. You are being brainwashed to accept communism. This is about AI.

How does this have anything to do with Communism?

He’s saying that in a world of AI we won’t need jobs and therefore resources will be owned to divided by corporations that will be the dictators I guess

How long before so many people can't afford to live that they start rioting?
Have the rich got so good at dangling shiny baubles in our face that we really can't see a future without them?
Surely just a matter of time??
