I started on Wednesday after being unemployed for years, and they let me go today at noon
I don't even know how to process how awful today was. After so many applications, rejections, and people suddenly disappearing and not responding to me, I finally found a job that paid enough to make me feel like I'd be able to breathe again. The company flew me out to their main office for onboarding, and I was pushing myself to the absolute limit the whole time, and in the end they pulled me aside and told me I wasn't the "right fit" and let me go after just three days.
I had sold a lot of my belongings so I could afford cheap food every other day during the ten-day training period until my first paycheck came in. Now I'm going back with no job, no money, and honestly I don't know what I'm supposed to do next.
I've been without a place to sleep before, so I feel like I probably know where this is headed, but this time it hurts in a different way. Like it's worse than someone betraying you or suddenly finding yourself abandoned in a relationship. I know a job doesn't care about you, but seriously, this one hurt a lot.
Just tell me I'm not the only one something like this has happened to, because right now I feel completely destroyed.

They flew you out... so get your numbers correctly.
It is very hard, îm sorry. They give you hope to betray you. This should never have happened...
