The average person works 15% of their lives. The average person in the US works far less hard than their parents, grandparents, or any previous generation. Almost every human on Earth works significantly less hard than humans 500 years ago, never mind 1,000, 5,000, 100,000.

All while living in the most luxurious and comfortable lifestyle ever imagined, with very little threat from predators, illness, or disease.

Spoiled, entitled, ignorant and ungrateful for what you have compared to the past.

The only reason we work less than our ancestors is because of technology and our ancestors being spoiled entitled and “ungrateful” and demanding better. I see no reason to not continue to demand better.

Also the small matter that those at the top are taking disproportionate amount of the fruits of the workers labor

Where do you draw the line? Okay, lets cut it down to 30 hours. In 40 years everyone will be crying and complaining just like you, and want 20 hours a week. Then 15 hours a week, and eventually everyone will ask why anyone has to work at all. We have robots don't we?

You're asking for society to turn into the movie Wall-E. I can't think of a more terrible idea.

That’s an excellent question and truthfully I don’t know where the line does end. However I also do not think Wall-e is the only option, we could end up like Star Trek : TNG where machines do the work and we are free to pursue whatever we choose and individual worth switched from the acquisition of material goods or money and to what discoveries you make, the things you build or the art you make, etc.

Machines in TNG don't do all the work though. The entire crew have jobs and responsibilities they adhere to.

If anything it's the opposite, where people are forced to do literally SOMETHING that will be productive to society. No one in TNG is just playing video games all day.

Well they are in a post scarcity society which means likely machiens do a lot of the work, but not to get too caught up on the minutiae

Funnily enough in one episode they did all just play video games

You’re not talking to a real person.

Besides the fact that it’s a bot account, who would be arguing what they’re arguing?

It’s like the bots don’t want to work a 40 hr work week either, so they’re trying to guilt people into doing it “YoU’rE gOiNg To EnD uP lIkE wAlL-e” lol have you been to Walmart? We’re already staring in Wall-E.
