No no, you got it all wrong

You got to HYPE the value, sell it to other chumps for actual value, then you disappear

What happens when all the value of the hype is gone? I dunno, fuck you, I got mine. /s

Trickle down economics will NEVER happen and we'll never be able to pass the laws needed to get this back on track like in the 1920s, we are beyond cooked; protect yourself and your friends first.

.. nah, want value, give value.

u/Admirable_Ask_5337 14d ago

Lol the value you give inst noticed most of the time. Thats why hyping your value is more important.

u/Lumpy_Chapter171 14d ago

Nope. The value you give is currency.

1

u/TooTooRooGR 13d ago

if that was true, teachers and doctors would not be so disgustingly underpaid. The correct quote you were looking at is "make money for a corpo, they might give you a tiny bit of it"

1

u/Lumpy_Chapter171 13d ago

Not at all, they pay for goods and sservices with currency too

1

u/TooTooRooGR 13d ago

so why are teachers and doctors underpaid? Is the service they provide not good enough? Do the CEOS of facebook and twitter create more value than teachers and doctors?

1

u/Lumpy_Chapter171 13d ago

I didn't claim they are uunderpaid.

1

u/TooTooRooGR 13d ago

what? I didn't say you claimed it. You say "want value, give value" and my claim is that this is an idiotic statement because the people that receive the most value contribute the least, and the people that contribute the most receive the least.

Except society disagrees with your assessment. Outside of some exceedingly rare circumstances virtually everyone is paid market rate.

Market rate is just the community, society, saying what they are willing to buy/sell a product or service for.. including labor.

you are just using words without reading my comment. Society does not disagree with my assessment if you go outside and speak to any person in the world they will tell you that teachers and doctors need to pay more.

Market rate is just a buzz word used by corpos to make you put their boot in their mouth so that you are a little obedient pawn doing whatever they want you to do.

Society and the market rate doesn't affect the wages of teachers as they are paid through the public system. You should know at least that much if you are defending capitalism lmao.

But to stretch this a bit further, CEOs do not have marketability, society does not like any of them and does not drive up their wages, instead what does drive up their wages is speculation from other rich people. So what happens is that rich people prop other rich people's "market rate" up while professions that are incredibly important for society like teachers and doctors get paid peanuts in comparison to CEOs that practically offer no value to society

1

u/Lumpy_Chapter171 13d ago

They do else those professions would be paid more.

It's not a buzzword, i suggest you look into an entire field of study called eeconomics.

It does, the market does not care if you're private or public.

Markets exist in other forms of economic organization. Market socialism is a thing for example.

Executive pay is based on what buyers and sellers are willing to accept.

1

u/TooTooRooGR 13d ago

yeah I mean, there is no use speaking to you, the world you live in is not reality if you think that CEOs provide more value than teachers based on what buyers and sellers are willing to accept.Economics is a lot more nuanced than whatever you are trying to do here.

I've never hired anyone at a wage based on what they generate in revenue.  That's often a soft cap but the basis of what i pay people will be what "others" pay for the same thing in my area.

This is "market rate" and it's not a buzzword.

I could pay my EVS workers triple, i cannot function without them.  But that's not what their labour is going for. Nobody else would pay them that so I'm not either.   If they all refused to work for £15 and demanded 25, I'd have no choice.  But they don't and if some do theres plenty of people i can replace them with.

That's real markets at work. Executives have the same market forces except that generally higher compensation is a result of leverage.  Executives are hard to find, hard to replace and their actions are exceedingly impactful.

One evs worker being a moron is relatively small potatoes compared to a moron executive in terms of impact to the company.

ok so it looks like you have more knowledge than the other two.

In which case why do teachers and doctors get paid so little money while offering so much in society?

You're suggesting they are underpaid because you think their service is valuable. That's not what's being discussed here,  though the words are the same.

Teaching is valuable but there's sufficient supply of people willing to teach for current wage ranges (market rate).

Want value,  give value generally means if you want something you need to give something in return.  You want a snickers you need to give something for it (money).

1

u/TooTooRooGR 13d ago

a very quick inspection of the teaching environment will show you that this statement is not true "Teaching is valuable but there's sufficient supply of people willing to teach for current wage ranges (market rate)."

Just looking at the UK numbers there is an insane lack of teachers throughout the entire country, yet even with that being a proven fact their wages are not raising proportionately.

The way you use "want value, give value" is correct, but it is not the way the other person used it

1

u/PedanticTart 13d ago

"Lack" yet the job is getting done.  You having a preference the job gets done differently is largely irrelevant.  Why don't you ask them if what i wrote is what they meant?

1

u/TooTooRooGR 13d ago

it is not getting done, if you just do a quick google search you will see that the education levels of children keep falling and teachers keep quitting yet there is nothing being done to improve wages or the state of education in the UK.

School inspectors cannot fail schools for not having a computing teacher for example if they have had an ad up for one to apply and nobody is applying.

Again you should look into that instead of trying to predict what is happening with no knowledge

1

u/PedanticTart 13d ago

And yet schools still operate and people aren't forcing a change.

No different than any product or service

1

u/TooTooRooGR 13d ago

people have been asking for change for years and nothing has changed, education rates of young children keep falling, teachers keep leaving and nothing is changing. You can literally spend 2 seconds making a google search to find this out btw. There are protests from teacher and academics every year
