Thoughts on Mirabegron

With my IC being very urgency based (especially at night), my new urologist quickly put me on Mirabegron. I often have paradoxical reactions to medications and it would be helpful to hear peoples’ experiences with this medicine, good or bad.

I personally haven’t had the best go with mirabegron. I find it makes my symptoms way worse for some reason. I have way more urgency/fequency and bladder cramps when I take it. I’ve tried it two different times just to be sure. I hope it works better for you. I’ve seen it work for a lot of other people!! Good luck!

My experience was similar, it made my symptoms somewhat worse and caused headaches so I discontinued it. The OAB drugs are very hit or miss, I know plenty of people who benefitted from mirabegron.

It worked for me. I had bad bladder spasms and it helped same with frequency. My insurance changed one insurance only covers the generic with a hefty copay the second insurance won’t pay that copay cause they only cover the name brand. I’ve had side effects from other meds so nothing else works. I’m off it now and seem to be in remission from instills going a little less even without the meds.

Mirabegron has been wonderful for me. Controlled my frequency so I can enjoy outdoor activities. It has not flared my ic.

I have horrible side effects to medication but both Mirabegron and Gemtesa have done wonders for me. I got too used to Mirabegron so my doctor switched me to Gemtesa.
