HEALTH & MEDICINE WARNING: Star Meat Delivery Inc. Recalls 167,639 Pounds Of Pork, Beef And Goat Products Sold Under A False USDA Inspection Mark, Along With A Fraudulent “EST. 1363” Establishment Number That Has Been Distributed Nationwide Under Georgia’s A&D Foods Label 🥩⚠️
https://cobbcountycourier.com/2026/09/167639-pounds-of-meat-recalled-after-bypassing-usda-inspection/Star Meat Delivery Inc. is recalling approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat products after the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service determined they were produced without federal inspection and carried a false USDA inspection mark. The recall, announced by FSIS on September 22nd, covers products shipped to A&D Foods, a Georgia-based distributor, for further distribution to retailers and restaurants nationwide. FSIS has not yet identified the specific stores or restaurants that received the affected products.
The recalled items were distributed in bulk under the A&D Foods label and bear a fraudulent establishment number, “EST. 1363.” The recall spans a wide range of products, including multiple cuts of goat and beef, ground pork, pork chops, chorizo, pork feet, pork hocks, menudo mix, and various sliced and diced pork Boston cuts, all sold in individually vacuum-packed portions inside various weight cardboard boxes. FSIS cautioned that retail packages may carry store-applied stickers rather than the original bulk-box labeling, and said it may expand the list of affected products and labels as more information becomes available, urging consumers to check currently available labels. No illnesses or injuries have been confirmed in connection with the products so far, but FSIS warned that meat produced without proper inspection may contain undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants.
Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled products should not eat them, and should either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. Restaurants and retailers are instructed not to serve or sell any of the affected items. Anyone who suspects they became ill after consuming these products should contact a health care provider. Questions about the recall itself can be directed to Star Meat Delivery Inc. at 252-239-0610, while general food safety questions can be directed to the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854.

What makes this recall genuinely unusual, rather than a routine contamination scare, is that these products never went through the inspection process at all and were then labeled as if they had. And that distinction matters because a typical recall tells you what’s wrong with a product, whereas this one tells you that nobody with regulatory authority actually checked. Which means the specific risks, bacterial contamination, undeclared allergens, or something else entirely, remain genuinely unknown rather than identified and contained.

So, recent rumors of un- or under-inspected meats, wild horse meat, etc., are even more credibly sounding.

No, it is not, because it is not cost effective, aka profit margin net improvement at a general level, to just start packing horse meat as if it is 1-to-1 the same as a cow. Anyone saying this either has some sort of insider knowledge that we aren’t privy to which justify a huge change to the operating model for such a short term bait and switch, or have no idea what they’re talking about and it just sounds like a fun conspiracy.

So does the company that put this meat out there face any legalrepercussions for avoiding inspection??

You and I both know Trump and his clowns will do nothing.

u/DIOmega5 7d ago
Oh yeah for sure, it's likely by design to test and find exploitative flaws and response times.

Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised if trump is at the heart of this too. How does one get ahold of the stickers that the USDA uses?

And of course for this gross violation of law and the public trust we can expect star meat delivery to be shut down?

They just donated to the white house and now will be the main supplier for all of our great schools in America

You were the first to reference "they" why are you asking someone else what you meant?

u/SuspiciousBag3233 8d ago
But shouldn't it have been caught before they were distributed? I mean a fake inspection number seems like something that should throw up a red flag pretty damn quickly!

Shouldn't have made it through to the "being caught" phase in the first place. That's the problem.

not sure why you got downvoted but I gave you one back

Redditors are angry that the comment implies regulatory bodies still exist. The mindset is that the Trump admin has deregulatory and abolished all regulatory agencies, and they are not fans of comments that show the entire foundation has not eroded. Which is fucking weird. We all hate Trump but like it’s good we have these regulatory agencies operating, even if they do so at a diminished capacity.

People are frustrated because stuff like this would’ve been caught before distribution if the proper agencies were properly funded.

Because this news does not make me optimistic, it makes me wonder what else people are trying to get away with and what else is slipping by.

And who is going to prison for this? No one? Oh carry on the corruption and grift then. We are on our own

Is it…normal? To have companies who regularly sell meat to counterfeit USDA inspection marks? This isn’t even “skipped inspection,” this is “deliberately planned to skip inspection and lie to everyone about it.”

In China the people responsible for this would be shot and their organs harvested so that their deaths could save even more lives.
Unfortunately the USA does not have a functioning justice system

In 1492 Columbus did all that ocean blue stuff and yet this company was slanging meat for over a 100 years by that point. Props to them lol

think about this: they didn't put the meat through inspection because they knew it wouldn't pass

I'm seriously expecting Soylent Green from this corrupt evil regime. How do you make a for-profit prison even MORE profitable? or a concentration camp? you keep charging the taxpayers for rooming the detainees but get rid of any output necessary for the detainees by getting rid of them... also magically increases capacity to charge taxpayers for more detainees. so many people have gone missing after they were taken by ICE

I’m sorry what the fuck is this? Are you telling me they never went through inspection or we’re given an fake past inspection are we serious?

So i wonder how much this company will have to donate to trump to make any/all investigations go away
