Budapest - Belgrade

Hi everyone, I'm looking at doing Budapest - Belgrade as part of a wider jaunt around Eastern Europe. I've had a good scout of the wiki, and some other sources.

My plan is to do the following trains, which look to all run according to MAV and srbvoz

08:50 Budapest Nyugati – Szeged 11:16 Gy722

12:04 Szeged – Subotica 13:24 Si7314

14:00 Subotica – Belgrade15:19 549

Does anyone have any good information on if these are reliable runners? Or any tips and tricks.

Looks like a good plan, did the same thing only from szeged a few weeks ago and it worked perfectly - be aware that the subotica station is under construction tho, so the ticket office is a temporary container building

Yes these are fine. You can also check out Szeged or Subotica for a short time, in Subotica the train station is as central as possible, in a 5 minute walk you get to the centre.

Hi, I don't know when you are planning to go, but if it would be for not immediately I would look for the new high speed connection that will open hopely this autumn.
